He is known for his roles as Jimmy Madigan in the sitcom “True Jackson” (2008 – 2011), Stephen Jameson in the science fiction series “The Tomorrow People” (2013 – 2014) and Ronnie Raymond/Firestorm in the dramatic fantasy series “The Flash” (2014 – present). Robbie Amell and his sister were raised in Toronto by his parents, Jennifer and Christopher Amell, both jewellers. He is the cousin of an actor Stephen Amell. At the age of six, he started acting in commercials and did modelling alongside his sister. When he was 16, he participated in school plays such as: “Louis, Dave and Fionia”, “Picasso at the Lapin Agile” and “The Importance of Being Earnest”. He took courses at the Canadian Academy Studios Acting school, and in 2006 he matriculated from Lawrence Park Collegiate Institute high school.

Robbie Amell began his career with a small role in the film “Cheaper by the Dozen 2” in 2005, then played Blair Davidson in the horror film “Left for Dead” in 2007, and landed a role in the sitcom “Derek” (2006–2008). In 2008, he had a supporting role in the television movie “Picture This”. The same year, he got a recurring role in the sitcom “True Jackson VP”, in which he played until 2011. Meantime, in 2009 and 2010 he starred in the films “Scooby-Doo: The Mystery Begins” and “Scooby-Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster”. His net worth was well established.

Due to his resemblance to the American actor Brant Daugherty, he embodied Eric Kahn, the brother of Noel Kahn in an episode of the drama series “Pretty Little Liars” (2012). In 2013, he got his first major role, that of Stephen Jameson in the science fiction series “The Tomorrow People” (2013 – 2014), a spin-off of the British series of the same name – the pilot episode collected 2.32 million viewers on the USA channel The CW, however, the chain decided not to renew the series for a second season. In the summer of 2014, he won a leading role in the drama and fantasy series “The Flash”, broadcast on channel The CW from October 2014. In 2015, he starred alongside Mae Whitman in the teen comedy film “The Duff” directed by Ari Sandel – for the role of Wesley Rush Robbie was nominated for two Teen Choice Awards.

Several films are scheduled for release in which Amell – “Nine Lives” (2016), “The Babysitter” (2016) and “Arq” (2016). Currently, Robbie is working on the set of the romantic comedy directed by Ari Sandel “When We First Met” (2017).

Finally, in the personal life of the actor, he is in a relationship with the actress Italia Ricci. They became engaged in 2014, and the wedding is scheduled for late 2016.
