He is a singer, songwriter and musician, known for his singles “I’ll Be” and “I Could Not Ask for More”. McCain has released 12 albums and has been active in the entertainment industry since 1991.

His education includes attending Christ Church Episcopal School in Greenville, South Carolina, and studying at Coastal Carolina University and the College of Charleston, although he dropped out without graduating.

In his professional career, McCain released his independent albums “Nomadic Logic” in 1991 and “Solitude” in 1993, before signing a contract for four albums with Atlantic Records in 1995. His debut studio album “Honor Among Thieves” reached 107th position on the Billboard Top 200 chart. The lead single “I’ll Be” from his second album “Misguided Roses” reached the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. After releasing two more albums under Atlantic Records, McCain signed to ATC and released “Austin Sessions” in 2003. He then changed labels again and released “Scream & Whisper” in 2004 under which managed to enter the Billboard Top 200. His subsequent three albums did not enter the charts. McCain is known for performing in over 300 concerts a year.

McCain has been married to Christy since 1999 and has two biological sons as well as an adopted child.
