BIOGRAPHY
Silvana Aguirre is a Peruvian screenwriter, CEO and head of Development of the production house The Immigrant, along with Camila Jiménez. She studied Audiovisual Media at the University of Lima and was part of the group of scriptwriters for the America soap operas Producciones Luz Maria (1998), Isabella (1999), Milagros (2000-2005), and Soledad (2001). She subsequently studied at the National Film and Television School in London, one of the most prestigious film training centers in the world. After graduating, she began working at Story House and Fusion Media Group, the premium production arm of Univision. In 2009, Josué Méndez included her in his list of 10 Directors for the New Peruvian Cinema, alongside notable filmmakers such as Rosario García-Montero, Marianela Vega and Claudia Llosa, among others. In 2017, The Immigrant landed his first big job, the series El Chapo , in which Silvana took on the role of showrunner and screenwriter.
