Dan Auerbach, born on the 14th of May 1979, in Akron, Ohio, USA, is a musician and multi-instrumentalist. He is best known as the lead singer of the band The Black Keys. Auerbach has had a successful and eventful journey in the music industry since 1999. Of Polish-Jewish and Manx origin, Auerbach has a diverse lineage.
Aside from making music, he also won the Best Producer of the Year award in 2013 in the Non–Classical category. This was for his co-production of the album “El Camino” and his work as a producer of “Locked Down” by Dr. John.
His passion for music started at an early age, as he grew up in a family with a deep musical inclination. He began taking a keen interest in playing the guitar during his formative years, listing several influential musicians such as Junior Kimbrough, Robert Johnson, and Clarence White, among others.
