Marina De Tavira’s father, Juan Pablo de Tavira, was a prominent criminal lawyer in Mexico before his mysterious murder. Details regarding his death are not available and, so far, the crime has not been solved by the police. His killer is still unknown.
2. She is the last Mexican billionaire, Lorenzo Servitje Little girl
Lorenzo Servitje was Marina De Tavira’s maternal grandfather. She is one of the business tycoon’s twenty-four grandchildren among his eight children.
Servitje, who was raised by Catalan/Spanish immigrant parents, made his fortune co-founding the Mexican multinational Grupo Bimbo, a manufacturer of baked goods. The son of a professional baker, he is credited with expanding Grupo Bimbo from a small company into a multinational conglomerate. He was president of the company from 1945 to 1981 and remained chairman of its board of directors until 1994 before giving way to his son, Daniel Servitje Montull, who is currently the company’s president and general manager.

In January 2019, she was able to add an Oscar nominee to her list of accomplishments as a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) named her Best Supporting Actress; it was for her performance in Alfonso Cuaron’s film, Roma (2018).

Luis de Tavira and Rosa María Bianchi’s two sons, Jose Maria de Tavira and Julian de Tavira, cousins of Marina, are also making a name for themselves in the industry.
