Erika Harlacher is a popular voice actress who often lends her voice in anime series and video games. She is based in Los Angeles and only voices English dubbed versions of Japanese anime shows. She starred in Japanese anime where she played major roles such as The Seven Deadly Sins, The Asterisk War, Hunter × Hunter, Toradora!, Yuki Yuna is a Hero, Aldnoah.ZeroViolet Evergarden, among others . Video games are also part of her assets and she has voiced her voices in Persona 5, Danganronpa, Killer Instinct and Atelier Ayesha, among others.

Who is Erika Harlacher, the actress?

She was born Erika Lynn Harlacher in California on August 29, 1990. She grew up in Camarillo and was raised by her parents – whose names and occupations are not known. However, she has a brother, a sister – Natalie Ann Harlacher – born in 1992.

Erika began to be interested at a very young age. In elementary school, she began acting in plays and won over her audience. She was definitely a born talent who started manifesting her talents at an early age. Erika Harlacher was also interested in Japanese animation, better known as anime. She thought of cartoons as cartoons, which they really are, and first became interested in them in elementary school. In addition to this, she was interested in Japanese comic novels commonly known as manga and involved them in school as well.

She attended La Reina High School, a private Catholic Independent College Preparatory High School and Young Women’s College in Thousand Oaks, Ventura County, California. His school allowed Speech and Mock Trials teams to exist and compete. She was active in the team and represented them at state and national events.

After graduating from high school in 2008, Erika Harlacher majored in graphic design at California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, one of two polytechnics in the California University System. The first year, she began taking voice lessons and attending voice training workshops and seminars. She attended the Adventures in Voice Acting workshop, where she met Tony Oliver, who was convinced that she had a chance to be a great actress and encouraged her.

Erika Harlacher voiced her first anime soon after in the English dubbed animation, K-on!. She voiced the character, Keiko Ida which was a minor role. Her first big role in dubbing was in the video game Battleship, produced in theaters in 2012. Grace Harland was the main character of Erika. Reviews of his voice acting in this video game weren’t encouraging. However, she did not give up but continued to take on voice roles while also undergoing some form of training at workshops.

Her next voice-over role was in Atelier Ayesha: The Twilight Alchemist, where she played Ayesha. Her role was negatively reviewed and her American accent was judged as not blending with the Japanese character she voiced. Previously, she had pursued production but was dissuaded by Tony Oliver who told her to return to voice acting.

His biggest role and most critically acclaimed character was that of Ami Kawashima in the romantic comedy Toradora! This role propelled her into the spotlight and expanded her fame. Over the years, Erika Harlacher took on other voice acting roles and is still active to this day.

When she started getting interested in anime, manga in her youth, her mother didn’t consider it a real job or career and tried to talk her out of pursuing it. Erika, however, ignored her mother’s advice and pursued her passion.

Also, even when Erika had health issues in polytechnic and a lost voice to pursue producing, her mother reinstated her disdain for the voice and said producing was a more reasonable career path.

Erika Harlacher had people she looked up to who motivated her to join the voice. Christy Carlson Romano was one of those people. She was particularly interested in a statement from Christy about how easy it is to be an actor. She remarked that one could work in one’s pajamas and this inspired Erika to pursue her career.

Graphic design was Erika’s first choice at the Polytechnique. She started out studying it first, then switched to acting after discovering her interest in Tony Oliver’s voice acting and encouragement.

Erika has been in a relationship for a while, and the couple seems to have grown stronger. She is currently engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Luka Stone. She announced their engagement on October 30, 2018. However, it is unclear exactly when they started dating.
