BIOGRAPHY
Actor, producer and former American football cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha played college football for the University of California, Berkeley, and was selected in the first round of the 2003 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders. He also played for the Philadelphia Eagles and the San Francisco 49ers. For many years he was considered one of the best tight corners in the NFL. He retired from football in 2013 and has since executive produced hits such as Beasts of No Nation (2015) and Harriet (2017). In 2017, he produced and starred in the Amazon Studios film Crown Heights . Asomugha received critical acclaim for his performance and was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Actor, as well as an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture. In 2020 he produces and stars in Sylvie’s Love , a romantic drama directed by Eugene Ashe.
