Laura Rutledge – Bio, Husband, Career at CNN, ESPN and SEC Network

Laura Rutledge is an American reporter, TV host, and beauty queen. She has excelled as a reporter and has worked for a number of mass media companies such as CNN International, ESPN and SEC NetWork. As the pageant queen, she was crowned Miss Florida in 2012 and has performed in several other pageant shows. Her association with professional baseball player Alan Rutledge has also propelled her to greater fame. Discover more interesting facts about them in the article.

Laura Rutledge is organic

Laura Rutledge is best described as a woman of beauty and brains. The intellectual depth she displays when commenting on her sports programming impresses audiences. Every October 2nd opens a new year for the Model Turn Reporter. Laura was born on October 2, 1988 in St. Petersburg, Florida. As a child, she wanted to be a marine biologist. However, growing up, she became involved in geography and meteorology.

The reporter grew up in Atlanta and later spent the remaining teenage years in Florida. There she attended Celebration High School in Kissimmee. After graduating from school, Laura Rutledge wanted to attend a ballet school. However, she changed her mind and decided to attend the University of Florida with a major in broadcast journalism. Like most college journalists, Laura Rutledge worked on the school radio station.

Career at CNN, ESPN and SEC Network

Laura joined her school radio with the She wanted to work with the general news team, although at the time that part of the radio station was not open, so she decided to join the sports broadcast team. In later years, she was easily hired as a reporter for Fox Sports, covering the Tampa Bay Ray games. She then went on to cover the San Diego Padres games and covered the 2012 NCPA Paintball Championship in Lakeland, Florida. for Fox College Sports.

While working as a reporter, Laura ventured into 2012, she competed in the Miss Florida pageant, beating all of her competitors, stealing the hearts of the judges with her ballet routine ad, and subsequently taking home the crown.

Was crowned Miss Florida that year in 2013, she automatically became a competitor in the Miss America pageant. She lost the contest to Mallory Hagan and was one of the eliminated queens in the top 16 round. As a student, Laura Rutledge also entered the school’s competition and was awarded a $1,000 scholarship prize as the first runner-up.

In 2014, Laura Rutledge moved to ESPN and SECNetwork and her work on those stations has not been confined to any particular desk. She has worked on the sidelines, in court, and even behind the desk. She wrapped up Season 2 of SEC Nation and is currently co-hosting Get Up every Thursday and Friday mornings. On Tuesday, she covers the late-night college basketball matchup. Laura has also reportedly worked at CNN International, but no details are known about her exact job description or what she has been doing for the media giant.

Laura is married to Joshua Alan Rutledge, an aprofessional baseball player. The two married in 2013 after dating for a long time. Their meeting was not an impromptu one, as they first met at a baseball tailgate in Alabama in 2011, where Josh was coached by the Colorado Rockies and Laura was visiting.

They both felt the chemistry of love between them, but they took a break and decided to let time dictate whether they would be together. As fate would have it, the couple met back up in Zoe’s kitchen in Birmingham, having a satisfying discussion before agreeing to see each other. They then got engaged and the rest became history. The couple currently has no children of their own.

Josh Alan Rutledge is a professional baseball player who has written his name on the sport’s slate with his many notable accomplishments. He is very committed to his career and has proven his loyalty and devotion to the Rocky Mountains as well as the Boston Red Sox. His birth on April 21, 1989 happened in Birmingham, Alabama.

He was a 4-year-old freshman at Cullman High School, and his senior year led his team to a state championship. He also played for the Alabama Crimson Tide and was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in 2012. He was traded to the Boston Red Sox in 2015 but is currently a free agent.
